Church giving and tax receipts, in one place

Every January, treasurers often spend evenings adding up the year’s gifts to prepare receipts. ChurchFlow keeps every gift, online or in person, and produces the annual official receipts in one click.

Online giving

A giving page in your church’s name: one-time or monthly gifts, a choice of fund (general fund, missions, building…) and an option for donors to cover the fees. Payments go through Stripe and the money goes straight to the church’s account, then to your bank.

Fees: 2.5% per online gift for ChurchFlow, plus Stripe’s card fees (about 2.9% + $0.30). In-person gifts and official receipts cost nothing extra.

Sunday offerings

  • Batch entry for the service’s cheques and cash, with reconciliation.
  • Campaigns and pledges, with progress toward the goal.
  • Export for your accounting.

Official tax receipts

Enter your legal name, registration number (BN), address and signatory once, exactly as registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. In January, one click issues one numbered annual receipt per donor, as a PDF ready to email or print. Receipts already issued are never duplicated, and a cancelled receipt stays in your records, as the CRA requires.

Frequently asked questions

Does our church need to be a registered charity?

To issue official tax receipts, yes: only charities registered with the CRA can. Online giving and gift tracking work either way.

What about donors without an email?

You print their PDF receipt and hand it over or mail it.
