1. Export your people from Church Community Builder
- In Church Community Builder (Pushpay), run an individual search that includes everyone.
- Export the result as CSV with contact, address and family fields.
- Drop the downloaded file into ChurchFlow as is.
2. Import into ChurchFlow
- Open People, then click “Import”.
- Choose “Church Community Builder” and drop the file (CSV, Excel or .zip).
- Check the recognized columns: first name, last name, email, phone, birth date, family, address. You can adjust them if needed.
- Check the summary: new people, duplicates found, rows to review. Then import.
What gets imported
People and families: names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, birth dates and family links. Each record is tagged “Import Church Community Builder”. Inactive people can be left out, and large files are imported in batches of 2,000 people.
Gifts, groups and history are not transferred by the import. The import also does not grant consent for emails and texts: you will need to ask people for it.
Frequently asked questions
What if someone is already in ChurchFlow?
ChurchFlow recognizes them by email, phone, or name and birth date. By default the existing record is left unchanged. You can also choose to complete it, without erasing anything.
